What is modern slavery?

Modern slavery is one of the greatest evils in our world. Modern slavery encompasses slavery, forced labour, compulsory labour, and human trafficking where individuals are deprived of their freedom and are exploited for commercial or personal gain as defined in the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ Limited takes its responsibilities to combat modern slavery seriously as demonstrated by its promotion and adoption of the following policy measures:

  • The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery in any part of its business or supply chains is the responsibility of Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ, all those working for Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ, and or under its control.
  • Due diligence must be carried out in relation to modern slavery which may include considering human rights in country, the type of sectors in which Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ operates, the countries from which Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ operate from, the countries where services are provided, and the nature of relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Supply chain lines need to be continually risk assessed and managed in relation to modern slavery and any high-risk suppliers audited. Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ contract procedures and documentation address anti-slavery and anti-trafficking. Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ asks questions of potential new suppliers and its clients on their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 as part of due diligence processes. Under any contract approval process Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ reviews all suppliers and clients, ensuring compliance before any contract is agreed to and signed.
  • Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ highlights modern slavery issues regularly with all of its staff, suppliers and clients to maintain and increase awareness of modern slavery and to ensure constant vigilance of any potential signs or risks.
  • Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ encourages anyone to raise any concerns about modern slavery, using the Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ whistleblowing policy if necessary, and Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ will support anyone who acts in good faith.
  • Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ is committed to combating modern slavery and human trafficking and as part of that commitment Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ will make public if at any time Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ or any of its suppliers or clients has been found to have breached our Modern Slavery Policy and or breached any law in any country.
  • Any breaches of this policy may result in Global Corporate Advisory L.L.C.-FZ taking disciplinary action against individual(s) and/or terminating its relationship with any organisation or supplier. And reporting any illegal acts to the appropriate authorities.
